Ronald McDonald House, Rochester, MN
Quilt for a princess
Can you see the carriage?
The glass slipper?
Stars on the front - quilted with stars
Small flowers on the back quilted with rose buds
These Baby and Toddler blankets went to the Ronald McDonald House in Rochester, MN. A girlfriend’s mother was no longer sewing, and she wanted the fabric she had put to use. This woman had made a couple of the tops, and just never finished them. She had cut squares and Strips and never assembled them. She also had yards of fabric waiting for construction. When I received the fabric I completed the tops that were made, assembled the pieced that had been cut and quilted complementary designs on the yardage quilts. Another friend did all of the hand stitching of the binding for the finishing touch. Then we shipped them off the “House”. We were able to put together 8 blankets for toddlers and small children
